HI

We are going to be at the becup for the first time and so I have a few questions which need to be answered.

1st.:
As a Team Leader I am allowed to activate the console for restarts. How can I do that? Do I have to deactivate it right after restarting the game?
2nd.:
Are there any Voice Servers available to communicate with the teammates? If not am I allowed to host one (Mumble)?
3rd.:
I have installed Steam twice (because of unallowed configs at LANs and so on). One for playing ESL and one for the becup. If someone likes to check my Configs, how should he know that I am using the becup version? Should I delete the other one?
4th.:
Do I have to clear my whole HalfLife2 registry before installing the becup GUI?
5th.:
I think the new zBlock version will be used. Is it allowed to bind +jump at mwheel now (you can't bunnyhop anyway...)? It's already allowed at the ESL.

yes you are right, you can only use the GUI menu to configure counter strike, but you can use gamma correction softeware but only in sensible amount, if we see extreme bright monitors we will ask you to modify it to a normal level an you might get a penalty

but i have 2 other questions.

2.2 Any kind of usage of any programs that give an unfair advantage against
the other participants are forbidden. Anyone who uses such programs will be
disqualified and banned from BECUP events.

Does this rule include programs like gammacontrol?

2.1 Players can only use uncompromised Counter-Strike Source install. No files
can be altered in any way from the original Counter-strike files.

If I understand this rule correctly, it means that it is not possible to have double bindings, like +jump on mwheeldown AND on space.
And its not possible to use or change any other command which appears not in the BECUP Gui menu (like snd_mixahead 0.01 instead of 0.1)

Am I right?

But is it allowed to host an own Mumble Server? Because Vent doesn't work right on my PC. Sometimes I can't hear my mates. I think thats because of Windows7 but i'm not sure.

And how do i activate the console? Just delete all con_ CVars @ lan.scr (except the filter commands)?

I think I will fit my PC with a new hard disk and just install Windows7, Voice and CSS there :D
If I'm not allowed to host a Mumble Server I think I will have to organize a new Windows XP license because I lost mine :S

1. for teamleaders console will be activated throughout the competition, but it can only be used for restarting
2. we will host ventrilo servers
3/4. to be sure, please have a clear and uncomromised hl2/css install on your computer
5. zblock 4.4 will be used and yes you can bind +jump to the mousewheel but you cant bunnyhop
