BECUP 2008

On the BECUP 2008 we had 400 competitors, and Call of Duty was added as 3rd game to the event. Besides our two main events we worked together with other groups to organize eSport events. Sometimes just as a background adviser or as the main organizer of the event. After 2 years we can proudly say, that our team is the most experienced eSport event organizer in Hungary. Our events are drawing a dedicated attention from the Hungarian and international gaming community. The number of visitors of our homepage and on-line TV broadcasts usually tops our expectations. In 2008, the on-line broadcast was seen by more than 20 000 enquirers during the 2 days of the event.

Our spectators could cheer for their favorite team on the stage or in the player arena. They could take part in any of our 'of-site' programs from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening. We had Airsoft championships, laser battle on a special field, and we had the Hungarian national army with a show boot. This year events media buzz was even larger than the 2007, we had press and online media partners from different regions. Our event was even the cover page for Index, Prohardver.hu, and Gamestar.hu, we had a full scale of coverage on sites like, Total-Gaming, or Counter-Strike.hu. Our movie from the 2007 event was downloaded more than 150.000 times, so we expect this year’s download number way over 250.000.
